Dynasty Dance Clubs is always excited to offer ballroom dancing to the students of the Haven Academy at our downtown Sarasota location - on a professional ballroom floor, in a mirrored room as a break from their usual school day. Ballroom dancing can bring so many benefits. From the physical aspect, where we work on moving all of our limbs, coordinating left and right, and doing fast and slow footwork, to the social aspect of having to look into a partner’s eyes, and communicate non-verbally through movement, ballroom dancing teaches skills beyond just your normal dance program. Also, the Dynasty Stars start to feel a kinship with each other as they all embark on learning this fun activity.
Nestled on 32-acres in the heart of Sarasota, The Haven offers programs and services for adults and children with disabilities to enhance quality of life by encouraging independence, championing inclusion and advocating for their individual rights. Together, we can create a world where people with disabilities are included and celebrated for who they truly are — talented and incredible human beings.
